Make sure to mark Saturday 17 November in your gig calendars as the Red Cedar Festival is back for its second year! This time with an even bigger line-up for 2018, celebrating Macleay’s Youth!

Macleay Valley Arts Council in partnership with Macleay Entertainment are organising the event with support from Kempsey Shire Council through their Family and Community Services Youth Opportunities grant.

As artistic director of the event, Liam Moylan of Macleay Entertainment is excited to announce a line up bursting with local talent headlined by special guest – rising star of Aussie Hip-Hop – Dobby.

"Dobby has been described as a ‘sonic showcase’ and has been making huge waves in the Australian music scene” said Liam. “We are incredibly lucky to catch him on his East Coast Tour to promote his new EP, I’m certain Kempsey will love his mind-blowing show!”

The line-up also boasts local Macleay guitar hero Josh Needs, Dunghutti family band, The Vault, hip-hop femme fatale Dawn Laird, Crescent Head’s own DJ Faraway plus the Mad Hatas, Klepta Klezm, Benny Deeks, Genes, Jaxon Pollard and local high school bands and an Indigenous youth fashion show.

There will also be a variety of market stalls at the event which is being held at Kempsey Skatepark, 67 Belgrave St, West Kempsey on Saturday November 17 from 10am until 7pm.
